Course Overview:

      Providing professional advice and guidance on cuts, colouring and styling, whilst fully managing expectations for each appointment. Ensuring your work area is consistently safe, clean and tidy at all times and assisting with the general upkeep of the entire salon.

Course Responsibilities:-

• Advanced Hair Services: Perform a full range of high-quality hair services using advanced techniques, including creative cutting, coloring (e.g., balayage, ombre, color correction), permanent waving, straightening, and intricate formal event styling (e.g., bridal updos).
• Client Consultation and Relationship Management: Conduct thorough consultations to understand client needs and preferences, analyze hair and scalp conditions, recommend suitable services and products, and build lasting, loyal relationships.
• Mentorship and Training: Guide, support, and train junior stylists, assistants, and interns, sharing knowledge of new techniques and products to enhance team skills and professional development.
• Trend Analysis and Creativity: Stay updated with the latest hair fashion trends, tools, and techniques, and incorporate them into styles and service offerings.
• Salon Operations and Management Support: Assist the salon manager with day-to-day operations, which may include managing appointments, handling inventory, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are met.
• Sales and Marketing: Actively promote and cross-sell hair care products and salon services to meet revenue targets. Participate in salon promotional events and contribute to the salon's brand presence (e.g., on social media).
• Quality Control: Ensure all services provided meet the salon's quality standards and handle client feedback or complaints professionally to resolve issues promptly and maintain client satisfaction. 

 Course Curriculum components:

Technical and practical skills

• Hair cutting: Mastering fundamental and advanced techniques for various hair types and styles, including precision cuts and razor cutting.
• Hair coloring: Learning color theory and application for services like highlights, balayage, and ombré, as well as color correction.
• Hairstyling: Creating a range of styles using various tools and techniques, such as blow-drying, thermal styling, and up-dos for events and bridal looks.
• Chemical treatments: Training in perming, relaxing, straightening, and smoothing services.
• Hair and scalp treatments: Understanding scalp health and performing treatments like deep conditioning and keratin treatments.
• Hair and extensions: Applying and styling hair extensions. 

Business and professional skills

• Client consultation: Developing strong communication skills to advise clients and manage their expectations.
• Salon management: Learning about operations, marketing, and managing salon finances.
• Health and safety: Ensuring a safe and hygienic salon environment for both clients and staff.
• Product knowledge: Understanding and recommending professional products to clients.
• Sales and promotion: Promoting services and products within the salon setting. 

Foundational knowledge

• Hair and scalp anatomy: Understanding the structure and physiology of hair and the scalp.
• Hair type analysis: Identifying and catering to different hair textures, from straight to curly and textured hair.
• Sanitation and sterilization: Learning the importance and methods of sterilizing tools and equipment to prevent disease

•  Job opportunities: The beauty and wellness industry, including hair stylist, hair colorist, and bridal hairstylist. Graduates can also pursue management roles like salon manager or owner, work in media and fashion as a celebrity or fashion stylist, or become a trainer or educator. 

Features of the Course :
