Course Overview:

            A Retail Manager's job description includes overseeing daily store operations, managing staff by hiring, training, and scheduling them, and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service standards.

Course Responsibilities:-

Daily operations and sales

  • Manage daily store operations to ensure smooth functioning and adherence to company policies.
  • Set store sales targets, anticipate sales volumes, and work to meet quotas.
  • Implement promotions and analyze sales metrics to report on performance. 

Staff and customer management

  • Recruit, train, and manage store staff, ensuring they meet customer service standards and sales goals.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Foster a positive and professional environment for both staff and customers. 

Inventory and visual merchandising

  • Oversee inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure accurate ordering of new stock.
  • Organize and manage the store's merchandise and layout.
  • Maintain high standards for visual merchandising and store presentation to attract customers. 

Financial and administrative duties

  • Analyze sales data and financial reports to inform decisions.
  • Help establish and monitor store budgets to increase profitability.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including reports and record-keeping, according to company procedures

  • Principles of Fashion Marketing & Merchandising: Focuses on marketing strategies and the buying and merchandising functions specific to fashion.
  • Elements of Design and History of Fashion: Covers the aesthetic and historical context of fashion.
