Course Overview:
Courses combine theoretical knowledge of skin anatomy with hands-on practical training in treatments like facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, and some laser and light-based therapies. Eligibility and duration vary by institution, and career prospects include working in dermatology clinics, spas, or starting one's own aesthetic practice
Course Responsibilities:-
Treatment and client care
- Performing a variety of treatments, such as facials, microdermabrasion, chemical peels, laser treatments, and body contouring.
- Analyzing client skin to determine needs and creating customized treatment plans.
- Advising clients on appropriate skincare products and post-treatment care to support their progress at home.
- Monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
Technical and administrative duties
- Maintaining detailed client records and treatment documentation.
- Ensuring all equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and sanitized.
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Assisting dermatologists in a clinical setting with preparations and procedures.
Professional conduct and development
- Staying up-to-date on the latest industry trends, technologies, and protocols.
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Achieving sales targets for treatments and retail products, if applicable.
- Participating in training sessions and team meetings.

- Client consultation: Skills for client analysis, consultation, and treatment planning.

- Facial treatments: Basic and advanced facial techniques, including exfoliation, massage, and deep cleansing.
- Chemical peels: Performing various types of peels (e.g., glycolic, salicylic, TCA) for different concerns.
- Microdermabrasion: Using both crystal and diamond-tip methods to refine skin texture.
- Laser and light-based therapies: Training in lasers, IPL, and LED light for hair removal, photorejuvenation, and other applications.
- Microneedling: Using devices to stimulate collagen and improve skin texture.
- Dermaplaning: Professional blade exfoliation techniques.
